Flora Blattner has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner at Eastside Cardiology since 2009. She came to us via an indirect route: Flora worked as a Nuclear Engineer for the Navy for eleven years, before realizing that working with people was a lot more fulfilling than working with machines. She then returned to school, graduating from the University of Washington with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1999. Next she worked as a hospital staff nurse on telemetry and medical surgical units, before returning to school once more for her advanced practice degree. She received her MN (Master’s degree in Nursing) from the University of Washington in 2007, and became nationally certified as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Flora likes to combine the attention to detail she used in her work as an engineer, with the rapport building skills she used as a registered nurse, and finds Eastside Cardiology the perfect place for that!
When not in the office, Flora is likely to be found outside soaking up the sun in her garden, or hiking or biking with her husband . She reserves the gloomy days for the never ending project of remodeling her house.
